The role of blood parasites in emerging disease dynamics and biodiversity loss in amphibians.

We combine fieldwork, molecular methods, histological techniques, and experimental procedures to understand the interaction between blood parasites and amphibians as well as the interaction between parasites. This project will provide a better understanding of whether native blood parasites can increase the vulnerability of amphibian populations to emerging diseases.
